Surfers Chapel is a non-denominational Christian church serving people in the Surf City area (Huntington Beach, CA).
We meet every Saturday night at 6:00pm.

Our heart is to walk alongside each person as they grow, then cheer them on as they step out—whether in shoes, sandals, or sandy bare feet—to bring hope, truth, kindness and the love of Jesus to the California Coastline.
Meet Our Leadership Team
Pastor Bill White
The pastor of Surfer’s Chapel is Bill White who has been a Senior Pastor for over 30 years. His original Pastoral Training was at Calvary Chapel in Costa Mesa, after which he served as the Assistant Pastor of Calvary Chapel of Orange. Subsequently he was a Ministry Director at the Vineyard church in Tustin, CA, and later served as a Senior Pastor in the Foursquare denomination.
Sadly, on December 15th of 2021 Pastor Bill's beloved wife Bonnie passed away. In the subsequent years Pastor Bill dealt with the tremendous grief he suffered after Bonnie went to Heaven. Having experienced significant restoration by the love and blessing of God, the Lord has led him to pursue this new church plant.
Being recently married to his wife Jeanne, with great enthusiasm they are beginning this new ministry together. As Pastor Bill starts this next phase of service to God and to those who God will bring to Surfer’s Chapel, he sends his and Jeanne’s blessings to you and they invite you to come join them in this new ministry.
Jeanne Gormick, Director of Outreach Ministry
The Director of Outreach Ministry for Surfers Chapel is Pastor Bill’s wife Jeanne Gormick. She has known and served the Lord since 1981. Her ministry in prayer has been a significant focus and during Covid she developed ways to reach out and pray for people during that difficult season. She has been a member of a nationwide Intercessory Prayer Team for several years. Trained in Life Builders/Skill Builders ©, a training program for small group leaders, Jeanne loves helping people and is excited to start the Ohana Fellowship groups and a women’s ministry at Surfers Chapel.
Her 50-year marriage to her beloved late husband Cal, led her to write an Amazon’s best-selling book, Your Treasured Marriage: A God-Centered Guidebook to Create Long-Lasting Love, which tells their poignant story. They had 3 children and 6 grands.
As a symbol of resilience and perseverance, Jeanne now inspires, encourages, and engages widowed people to help them to create new lives. Jeanne retains her own last name as an author/speaker. She is a member of the Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS) Speakers Network serving as a keynote speaker and workshop presenter. She enjoys the Outreach Ministry which allows her to touch people with the Good News of the Gospel. Jeanne looks forward to meeting new people as they come to the church.
